1946 SELMER Balanced Action Alto Saxophone, silver-plated with engraving, 32xxx

Production year 1946. Despite its age, the silver-plating is still some 95% intact. The attractive handcrafted gravure on the bell and bow comes wonderfully into its own. This BA Alto came to us already overhauled, the pads are fitted with plastic resonators, the mechanics are still intact and the Horn is “ready to play.”

This Sax springs right into action, has a typical Balanced Action warm and full tone. The silver-plating still adds a few nice overtones to the mix and this makes the Horn a great Alto with a broad sound spectrum.
