Serial-Nr.: 238XXX · Sopran
Year of manufacture: 1975
This silver-plated Mark VI Soprano is a new arrival (01/2021) in our Legendary Saxophones family and strikes a good image in the company of its Mark VI siblings. Although manufactured in 1975, this Sax’s 46 years of age are by no means visible – it has evidently always been well looked after. The silver-plating is still in good shape and all but completely intact, with only minor signs of wear.
We received this Saxophone overhauled and we just fine-tuned it in our SAXOPHONIC Workshop. The colleague that overhauled it did a good job and used CHANU pads with metal resonators. Its impeccable technical condition makes it ready for immediate deployment.
Thanks to its high F# key it is very versatile. The Mark VI Soprano Saxophone with high F# is very much in demand by Classical players in particular. The tonal texture is quite dark yet the presence of beautiful harmonics provides an audible sonoric radiance. But because this only reflects my personal impression, we are more than happy to invite you to come and try and compare this and other Mark VI Sopranos from our extensive inventory. Maybe you’ll find your next musical companion.
Current CORONA info: In lockdown times, we cannot receive customers. That’s why it is only possible to order a Saxophone from us and try it out at home.
As soon as we’re allowed to reopen, feel free to arrange an exclusive tryout appointment with us. Every Saxophone is disinfected after being played and remains 3 days in quarantine. This assures that no infectious viruses remain in or on the Saxophone.
