We had it completely overhauled, using pads with metal resonators, and the mechanics were also thoroughly refurbished. After fine-tuning and reworking the octave mechanism, this SELMER Super Balanced Action now plays really well.

Originally, it was a gold-lacquered SELMER tenor saxophone, but today, except for a few small areas, there is no lacquer left and the brass has developed a beautiful patina. This look has a large fan base, which is why more and more manufacturers are trying to artificially patinate their saxophones…
