  • 1960 Alto Saxophone SELMER Paris Mark VI, Player’s Horn, UNIQUE, 83xxx

This uniquely beautiful SELMER Mark VI alto saxophone from 1960 belonged to a professional saxophonist who finally found it after years of searching among countless SELMER Mark VIs. He was certain that he had finally found “his” Mark VI and had a beautiful floral engraving done on bell and knee, as well as on the rim of bell and neck, based on an authentic model.

Due to family circumstances and the resulting financial bottleneck, he was forced to sell his beloved saxophone a few years later.

I absolutely understand why the previous owner was reluctant to give this saxophone away, because the spirit that this little horn exudes can be heard with every note being played! Apart from its unique appearance and tonal charisma, this SELMER Mark VI is also technically flawless. It has been freshly overhauled, the metal resonators built into the pads support a rich overtone structure, the mechanics run perfectly, the horn is ready-to-gig!
