  • 1952 SELMER Super Action (SBA) Tenor Saxophone 50xxx, matching Numbers

SBA tenors with the beautiful darkened US lacquer have become very rare. We more or less regularly have lacquered SBA tenors on offer, which are then sold within a very short time. We are therefore all the happier to be able to offer this SELMER Super Balanced Action tenor saxophone in extremely good condition!

This beautiful 1952 SELMER Super Action Tenor Saxophone (SBA) was – like all saxophones by Henri SELMER Paris – manufactured in Mantes la Ville in France and then shipped in 1953 in its raw state to Elkhart USA, where it was varnished, engraved and assembled by SELMER USA. This is clearly recognizable by the engraving and the serial number in the S-bow, which matches the number in the body.

The sax was recently overhauled and we have fine-tuned it again in our SAXOPHONIC workshop, it is ready for your gig!

The SBA comes with the – probably – original SELMER Chesterfield zipper case. The zippers are no longer intact, so in earlier times locking tabs were attached, which fulfill their purpose very well and look authentic.

Its beautiful, round sound goes very well with its beautiful appearance. It is simply an extraordinary appearance that makes SELMER players’ and collectors’ hearts beat faster!

We ship worldwide. Please ask us for the shipping costs for your country.

Payment by international bank transfer or with cryptocurrencies, e.g. BITCOIN (by arrangement)!
