**Just sold** 1968 SELMER Mark VI Alto Saxophone, high F#, 158xxx
In its more than 50 years of existence, this SELMER Mark VI alto saxophone has been around quite a bit: from Paris to London to Tokyo, then to Luxembourg, and now it’s here at SAXOPHONIC. And from here is where its next journey starts, maybe with you, wherever your journey may lead.
I have just overhauled this Horn and it plays magnificently: minimum blowing pressure is needed to elicit pleasant sounds from this Mark VI. The homogeneity typical of Mark VI is just as present as the reliable and clean intonation across all registers. Thanks to its high-F# key, it is versatile, and even classical players will find true pleasure in this fine Alto.
Externally, this SELMER Mark VI is also still in splendid condition: the lacquer is still almost completely intact and the few scratches in the area of the suspension eyelet and worn lacquer on the neck in no way detract from the beautiful overall impression. The bow with its reinforcement plate is still all but unblemished, as is the bell, body and neck.
Feel free to compare this Mark VI alto saxophone with many another SELMER Mark VI or other SELMER models from our rich stock of SELMER saxophones. Feel free as well to make an appointment so that you can find the right saxophone for you. We are looking forward to your visit!
